The Day Renew Was Born

Three years ago, I returned home from what felt like the trip of a lifetime, traveling through Australia and New Zealand, soaking in beauty, wonder, and awe. My soul felt full… but within days of being home, something inside me felt incredibly heavy.

Not just emotionally, physically too.

I was overindulging in spaces that weren’t nourishing.

Trying to fill something I didn’t yet know was empty.

What I didn’t realize at the time was that I was stepping into one of the most transitional AND hardest seasons of my life.

My life, in all spaces was in a season of pressure, uncertainty, and stretching in ways I had never experienced before.

It was refining.

It was painful.

It was pruning.

I felt tired. Disconnected. Off rhythm.

And then one morning… I felt a nudge.

Not a shout.

Not a demand.

A gentle, loving invitation from God:

“Come spend time with Me.”

“Schedule time with Me, like you do everything else."

That morning, everything changed.

I didn’t have a five-year plan.

I didn’t have clarity.

I just had obedience.

I began waking up early to meet God before the world.

Before emails.

Before anxiety appeared.

Before fear.

Before striving.

I started moving my body with intention.

Nourishing myself with care.

Shifting not just my habits but my heart.

I was becoming the embodiment of what I encouraged others to do on a daily basis.

Did everything suddenly become perfect?

No.

But my mindset shifted.

My identity shifted.

My rhythm shifted.

And that is the moment Renew was born.

Not as a program but as a way of living.

A return to safety.

A return to presence.

A return to God.

A return to myself.

Renew came from a season of breaking and became a pathway to becoming.

Three years later, I see it so much more clearly now:

God didn’t demand anything from me. God didn’t take anything from me.

The quiet time gave me new tools. It showed me how to reset my nervous system.

It gave me time to see myself, Fully.  ALL my parts.

This time gifted me with peace.

And from that moment on…nothing has been the same.
