There was a season in my life when, from the outside, everything looked successful. I was leading, serving, building, and caring for others. Yet beneath the surface, I was exhausted. Like many helping professionals, I had learned how to keep going even when my own nervous system was asking me to slow down. As someone who has experienced many levels of burnout it can feel exhausting, lonely and hopeless. As I began to create space for stillness, I discovered that healing wasn’t simply about resting from work, it was about returning to myself, returning to my spiritual connection in my personal relationship with God, reconnecting with myself, and allowing every part of my life to be transformed from the inside out. I found myself drawn to practices that helped me become more present, regulate my nervous system, breathe deeply, embrace silence, and cultivate rhythms that reflected peace instead of striving. That season fundamentally changed the way I understood leadership, mental health, and healing.
Over time, that same journey gave rise to new questions: What does it truly mean to feel rested? How do we move beyond surviving to living in regulation, peace, and connection? Those questions led me to develop the RENEW™ Framework, an integrative approach that brings together neuroscience, nervous system restoration, breathwork, mindfulness, movement, and spiritual reflection to help people reconnect with themselves and with what matters most.
What began as a personal journey became the foundation for the RENEW™ Framework and Soulful Living. The RENEW™ Framework is the approach that guides the journey toward rest, nervous system regulation, and healing. Soulful Living is the community where that framework comes to life, a space built on the conviction that people deserve more than symptom management. They deserve to feel seen, safe, and supported as they heal.
Today, my work extends beyond the therapy room into leadership development, organizational wellbeing, community partnerships, education, and research. Whether I am supporting clinicians, nonprofit leaders, educators, healthcare professionals, or faith communities, my heart remains the same: to help create environments where people no longer have to live in constant survival mode, but can experience restoration that touches every area of their lives. I believe healing is not about becoming someone new. It is about returning to who God created us to be. That belief continues to shape every organization I lead, every program I develop, and every space I have the privilege to steward.
